PARCOURS FRANCIACORTA

The new clubhouse was inaugurated in 1987 together with the tennis places and the swimming pools. To satisfy then the various demands of living the immobiliar plant next to the club was built.

Thanks to the precious advises of the members, of the famous players and of the trainers as Romolo Napoleoni federal trainer of national male team and with the Cupertino of the superintendent Maurizio Zani the place was changed and improved concerning all the holes to obtain a perfect and high-tech course.

The aestethical aspect of the greens has not to be forgotten: many other hundreds of trees and thousands of roses with other flowers kinds were planted. The two islands of artificial lake where the hole 5 and 11 are situated are bounded with wood bridges.

This work of improvement was appreciated from everybody of the players, among them and first of them Costantino Rocca, who attends Franciacorta Golf Club also his training. In 13 life years the club has arranged many competitions: the most important are Trofeo Lancia, Trofeo IBM, Trofeo Timberland, etc.

During the years other competitions added to the named ones, these are Coppa Moretti (Moretti Cup) Bellavista Cup, Borghi Cup and Tamini Classic is bounded with the marathon of ground ski of Saint Moritz. The Franciacorta Golf Club was been chosen from the Italian Federation Golf in 1989 and again in 1992 to organise the national Championship of juniors and cadets while in 1997 it is the seat of the national Foursome Championship.

Since 1988 the first Pro-Am is organised, which in 1994 got the name of it sponsor Pro-Am Bipop group from bank Popolare of Brescia.
In 1990 the club organised its first club championship. Also the young's cannot be forgotten: the "diamond top" of Franciacorta Golf Club is Alessandro Napoleoni today 24 years old with different palmers: he was been for five times National Champion of Amateurs and now he is playing the Challenge Tour.

The juniors of the Club have got good record results such as the Italian teams championship under 18 in 1996 with a team composed by Alessandro Napoleoni, Michele Sigoli, Alessandro Tignonsini and Veronica Zorzi; in 1998 the second win by Michele Sigoli, Alessandro Tignonsini, Michele Gotti and Cecilia Brianti.
